Andrea Bores

México, 1990

Andrea Bores chooses the textile fiber as the main way to explore the constituent structures of nature. Through processes that appeal to randomness, it causes interactions of natural elements with fiber or paper to force them to reveal their decisions. On the other hand, it seeks to give meaning to those brands with controlled, precise records that become landscapes or cartographies which simulate fractional codes of the universe.

She studied a degree in Textile Design and Fashion at the University CENTRO of Design, Film and Television (2011-2015) and completed previous studies in Mechanical Engineering and Administration at ITESM (2008-2011). She obtained the scholarship of Jóvenes Creadores Program of the FONCA (2017-2018) and her work has been part of the collective exhibitions in Salón ACME (2020), Feria de la Acción (2020), FAMA (2020), Museo de la Cancillería (2019), Museo Cabañas (2021), Galería Karen Huber (2019), Galería La Nao (2022, 2021), Casa del Lago Juan José Arreola (2016), among others.
