Ángulo Cero presents “Suspended Drive” the first design exhibition by Mexican sculptor Manuel Muñoz Gómez Gallardo as part of the official program of Abierto Mexicano de Diseño.

The work of Manuel Muñoz G.G. reveals the undeniable and personal references of his childhood, which are reflected in his artistic practice as well as in his incursion into design.

His eye adjusts and reframes the forms known and admired by him into new materials and contexts. His creative impulse is never limited to the possibilities of the material. The passage from found scrap to fine art or from industrial to a maximum sophistication demonstrates freedom in his production and a natural balance in each object.

Through furniture and sculpture, he invites us to inhabit materials with a heavy visual load that reminds us of something we may know or somewhere we may have been.
