Martin Levêque (France, 1987). He lives and works in Mexico City. Of multidisciplinary training, his work makes use of media such as photography, sculpture and installation. His work explores the properties of materials while proposing alternative methods of the traditional perception of time and space.
Graduated from the Master of Visual Communication in Reims, France, his most recent work has been forged from his experiences in Mexico. He was awarded the Color Life award at the 2020 Mexican Design Open, exhibiting in the central courtyard of the National Museum of Art in Mexico City. His accolades include the Iconic Award 2020 from the German Council, Frankfurt and the Grand Prize of the K Design Award, Shanghai. His work of public art, based on the construction of immersive installations, has been shown in the Museo Laboratorio Arte Alameda, Museo de Arte Popular, ExTeresa Arte Actual, Archivo de Arquitectura y Diseño, as well as events such as the Bahidorá Art Circuit and the Mutek MX Festival, among others. In 2021 he will be a resident at Fundación Casa Wabi and in Kinono, Greece.
