Founded in 2014 by Juan José Nemer and Mauricio Álvarez, Ad Hoc is a workshop specializing in objects, furniture, and spaces that seeks perfection in detail through design. Their approach focuses on highlighting the natural beauty of materials and revaluing the Mexican artisanal legacy, emphasizing the importance of manual processes and personalized detail. Through this, they manage to merge the traditional with the contemporary, creating unique pieces that reflect the country's cultural richness.

In 2013, Ad Hoc presented its work at the Milan Furniture Fair, and in 2015, it represented Mexico at Wanted Design in New York, establishing itself as a leading figure in contemporary Mexican design.
