Tamarinds were first introduced to Mexico by the Spaniards and have very much become part of the culture here. They are often picked straight from the tree and eaten raw; as a refreshing flavoured drink, ice blocks, or sweets dusted in chilli and sugar. Their flavour is both sweet and sour. In the tropics tamarinds grow in tall pod-like fruit hanging silently from the trees in clusters, each pod distinctive.

Based on the original Tamarindo Glass pendant by Luminosa ™ the Tamarindo Copper pendant lamp has been designed and carefully crafted by skilled craftsmen to our rigorous specifications. Each piece is an original, carefully made by hand taking around one and half days to complete.

Utilising a dimmable LED lamp, the Tamarindo Copper lamp provides a beautiful warm and enveloping light creating a defined and intimate space below. The Tamarindo Copper pendant light comes in four unique patinas suitable for the contemporary interior.
