“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”

―Henry James, Portrait of a Lady

Concerned about this world’s hectic pace Lou Izunza created this series of ceramic tea sets to encourage people to slow down and enjoy one of life’s small pleasures. Whether it’s tea or coffee, this individual set was done as a remembrance of ancient ceremonies surrounding beverage. Inspired by a Japanese aesthetic Lou combines Mexican clay and an endemic Mayan wood (tzalam) to encourage you to take time to pamper yourself with a hot drink.
