Michelle Gratacós-Arill has developed a responsible design practice –handmade by blacksmiths in the tradition of the centuries-old artisanal craft of metalworking–, which thinks about the dynamics of the spaces in which we live without losing the sense of aesthetics.
Its objects foster both the playful side of life and the connection with nature, by encouraging to take care of a living plant and, in this way, giving back to nature in an interior or an exterior space. In short, Gratacós-Arill seeks to push the limits of traditional design to give it a human sense, by consuming responsibly, working ethically, finding a balance as human beings, being fair to the earth and doing it all humbly.
