Actions that have historically served to build bridges between the tangible and the intangible, or between presence and absence. The artist takes as inspiration a Shinto ritual practice that consists of circling sacred elements with a string &#8211; where it is thought that spirits inhabit &#8211; to delimit the earthly of the divine.
