But in reality, we don’t know where it actually ends up once we try to wipe our hands of the concern—if only for a moment.

Creating art has always felt attractive, liberating, and natural to me—a fundamental necessity for humanity. Yet, when leading a brand, it isn’t always easy to dedicate time to those idle moments that art demands for true creation and exploration.

Still, living among threads and weaves, surrounded by machines that create every single day, I find it impossible to ignore the constant urge to take what surrounds me and build something new. For many, they are hard to value, especially as art. It is difficult for most people to understand how a textile is built: it is a three-dimensional object, yet deceptively flat, making it harder to appreciate in the way one might admire a clay vessel.

This first phase of my textile exploration seeks to awaken a sensitivity toward the inherent three-dimensionality of textiles. Fabric is a realm of endless possibilities, and I am thrilled to continue down this open-ended path where design, art, reuse, and a conscious reflection on how and why we create will lead me to explore so much more.

Committed to reuse practices and a deep awareness of the waste we generate, I have long been searching for alternatives where every discarded thread and scrap produced in our own textile studio can find a new application, purpose, or outlet—as part of my responsibility as a creator and producer.
