Tania Zaldivar

Tania Álvarez Zaldivar is a graphic designer and typographer with a multidisciplinary approach to electronic arts, industrial design, and applied arts. Born in Mexico City in 1985, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Concordia University (Montreal) in 2009, where she also worked as a research assistant at Hexagram Concordia, an institution dedicated to the development of projects in electronic arts.

Tania continued her education with two master’s degrees: one in typographic design at EINA (Barcelona, 2010) and another at the Royal Academy of Arts Den Haag (The Hague, 2013). From 2017 to 2019, she received a full scholarship to pursue a Master’s in Graphic Design at Yale University, where she developed a thesis project focused on media translation as a creative process.

Currently, Tania runs her own studio in Mexico City, where she creates visual communication projects that explore multiple systems and media. Her work reflects on the multiplicity of the current context, with an approach that seeks to integrate visual arts, typography, and technology into creative solutions.
