Sebastián Arroyo Hoebens grew up between Mexico and the Netherlands, which deeply influenced his artistic vision. After working as a production designer in film, he decided to dedicate his life to creating artistic objects, earning a master's degree at the Rhode Island School of Design. In his projects, Sebastián explores the dichotomy between sculpture and functionality, merging craftsmanship with digital technology to create pieces of contemporary aesthetic.
His work is informed by his bicultural heritage, exploring the intersection between Mexican and Dutch traditions. The combination of traditional techniques and materials with digital design and production methods has allowed him to develop a unique aesthetic that bridges the ancient and the modern. Sebastián lives and works in New York, where he continues to develop his proposals around craftsmanship and digital innovation.
