Lourdes González Osnaya

Mexican industrial designer and fiber artist graduated from CIDI, UNAM National Autonomous University of Mexico. Research fellowships in design and arts in Spain, Japan and USA, she holds a MFA in Textiles at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Sweden.

The concepts that she works with are based on the materiality of rituals and the characteristics of the spaces and objects in a ceremonial context.

By diverting our perception of ordinary materials, she seeks a point of convergence between the spiritual and the emotional within an everyday good, by delving into the physical qualities and the unique language of a material extracted from unpacking a traditional practice. Touching issues such as the transitory and fragile nature of the body and matter.

Her work has been exhibited in Sweden, Portugal, Japan, United States and Mexico.
