Andrea Bores focuses her work on the construction of landscape through direct experimentation with the physical elements that compose it. The canvas becomes a space where patterns of natural phenomena, seemingly chaotic or unpredictable, are provoked and captured. She studied Textile Design and Fashion at Universidad CENTRO and previously pursued Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration at ITESM.
Her work has been exhibited in institutions such as the Museo de la Cancillería, Museo Cabañas, Galería Karen Huber, and Casa del Lago Juan José Arreola. She has participated in fairs like Salón ACME, Feria de la Acción, and FAMA. Bores was a recipient of the Jóvenes Creadores fellowship from FONCA (2017-2018) and held solo exhibitions such as Tierra Nacida Sombra (2021) at the Museo de la Cancillería. She has been part of artist residencies at Cobertizo, Jilotepec (2019), and Casa Wabi, Oaxaca (2018).
