Aldo Alcántara is a graphic designer and ceramicist from Puebla, Mexico, currently based in Barcelona, Spain, since 2013. His practice focuses on the creation of contemporary, collectible, handmade pieces that are unique and deeply personal.
Passionate about visual play and geometry, his style is shaped by Mediterranean and Latin American art and culture. He explores their cultural and natural folklore, alongside childhood memories and a fascination with symmetry. His work blends volume, form, and color, emphasizing silhouettes with subtle touches of nostalgia and antiquity. The result is visually rich and aesthetically refined pieces—authentic, distinctive objects that are colorful, functional, and sculptural.
In March 2023, he took a bold and intentional step toward what he truly desires: founding an experimental studio-workshop where he can explore, learn, and expand his creative universe through ceramics. This space is dedicated to fostering creation and artistic expression in a relaxed, inspiring, and motivating environment.
