Jorge Diego Etienne was born in Tampico in 1983 and is a Mexican industrial designer with a global perspective on design. He graduated in Industrial Design from Tec de Monterrey in 2009 and furthered his education with an internship at Feiz Design Studio in Amsterdam, as well as workshops at institutions such as Central Saint Martins (London), Domus Academy (Milan), and Parsons The New School for Design (New York).
In 2011, he participated in the program “Modern Design and Traditional Craft” organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Kyoto, where he researched the intersection of culture and contemporary design. Upon returning to Mexico, he founded his own studio in 2012, focusing on creating design objects that blend traditional craftsmanship with modernity. His work has been recognized for its innovative approach and his ability to connect industrial design with cultural context.
