Tania Alvarez Zaldivar (Mexico City, 1985) is a digital artist, typographer, and graphic designer with a multidiciplinary profile focused on programming, procedural design, visual communication, industrial design and applied arts.
In 2013, Zaldivar started her own studio in Mexico City were she developed a professional design practice, earning clients in the areas of product design, architecture, art, cultural institutions and hospitality. In 2017, she left Mexico for Yale School of Art's Graphic Design MFA program. As part of her research, she engaged with Yale's Architecture School and shifted her interests towards the conceptualization of surface design in three-dimensional mediums, an experience that enabled her to also experiment with digital fabrication processes. Aside from continuing her development in the area of visual communication, she currently develops applied arts as a strong complement to her visual literacy skills.
