Founded in 2014 by Montserrat Castañón, Ángulo Cero was conceived as a platform where art and design converge through a rigorous curatorial vision. At its core, Ángulo Cero is one of the first galleries in Mexico dedicated to the intersection of art and design. Over time, it has evolved into a multidisciplinary practice that also provides art consultancy and serves as a production partner for high-end hospitality, residential, and commercial projects in Mexico and internationally.

Ángulo Cero develops tailor-made art and design pieces that respond precisely to the identity and architectural language of each project. From early-stage creative direction to contract-grade engineering, fabrication, and installation, the gallery oversees every phase with conceptual clarity and technical precision. Its approach combines aesthetic depth with material intelligence, ensuring that each intervention becomes an integral part of the spatial experience.

Montserrat Castañón trained in Industrial Design at Universidad Iberoamericana and holds a Master’s degree in Design Management from Pratt Institute. She leads the gallery’s curatorial vision and strategic direction, overseeing artist representation, exhibition programming, and the conceptual development of commissioned projects. Deeply engaged in both the intellectual and operational dimensions of the practice, she collaborates closely with architects, designers, and clients to ensure that every project maintains conceptual integrity while meeting the highest technical standards. In parallel with her work at Ángulo Cero, she serves as a distinguished professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, contributing to the formation of the next generation of designers.

Emilio González, Sales & Operations Manager, is an industrial designer who graduated top of his class with honors from Tecnológico de Monterrey and pursued further studies in cabinetmaking and furniture design at Malmstens Folkhögskola in Stockholm. He leads the gallery’s commercial strategy and oversees project execution, coordinating production, logistics, and installation for exhibitions and commissioned works.
